Memory Support at Smith Crossing
A safe and caring environment for those you love
Proactive, specialized care can play a large role in delaying further memory loss, sustaining current abilities and improving quality of life. For people experiencing memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease, Smith Crossing offers Memory Support on our Orland Park campus. Assisted Living Memory Support is designed for people who are physically independent but navigating the early and middle stages of memory loss.
Every resident has unique needs and Smith Crossing’s team develops a care plan tailored to each individual. Our industry-leading electronic medical records system provides instant and reliable access to medical information, enabling our staff to spend less time on paperwork and more time with residents.
Each resident enjoys his or her own spacious studio apartment with a private full bath. This helps to promote independence and allows for privacy, while also providing the safety and security many families desire. Residents furnish their apartments with their own belongings, artwork and photographs, helping to ensure a familiar environment.
In our home-like environment, the living room area is a popular place for residents to gather and chat. Residents enjoy planned activities as well as the convenient use of a dedicated activity center, art studio, media room, and a beauty salon and barber shop. They may also participate in the fitness program and group exercise classes designed specifically for Memory Support residents. Healthy, delicious meals are served restaurant-style in our dining room and snacks are available upon request.
