Smith Crossing is one of only 15 continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) in the State of Illinois to receive accreditation from CARF-CCAC, an independent organization that promotes the highest standards of quality and accredits the services of a CCRC. A voluntarily peer review process by a team of surveyors sent to conduct an on-site survey confirmed that Smith Crossing met CARF's 800 stringent standards. We are doubly proud of our accomplishment because Smith Crossing was given a five-year term of accreditation only three years after we opened.
